All of these areas on site serve an important purpose in the manufacturing and transportation of goods and services for numerous industries across the country. Any disruption in the form of theft and damage can slow or outright stop a supply chain.
The slowdowns and stoppages of the supply chain will create immense logistical problems. According to Northbridge Insurance, these production delays also contribute to economic losses of approximately $5 billion in Canada, annually. In order to safeguard the assets of the industrial manufacturing facilities, our team has designed an innovative video security platform.
Our live remote video monitoring solution has been engineered to provide a plethora of improvements over other video security offerings.
Whats wrong with typical systems for Industrial Site Security?
Due to the size of and multiple areas of concern on these facilities, exceptional camera coverage and internet connectivity is required if there is to be any chance of acquiring court quality evidence of criminal activity.
Traditional security companies will struggle to meet the monitoring needs of this industry because they rely on hardwired internet cabling as a backbone for their security camera systems.
Video Security systems that are reliant on cabled internet are not only limited to the slow network speeds onsite that result in degraded image quality, but they also have an inherent security risk. In the event that network connectivity is lost due to inclement weather, tampering, or ISP outages, the entire security system will be compromised and rendered useless.
The installation of hardwired camera systems can also lead to unexpected expenses to accommodate for the size of the facility, such as additional network switches and cabling. These costs can be astronomical when considering the typical size of manufacturing facilities.
Why is our Remote Video Monitoring Service unrivaled?
Our team of engineers developed a proprietary communications platform that operates on the cellular LTE+ network. This proprietary platform safeguards our live video security feeds from the threat of image quality degradation & loss, while providing exceptionally fast upload and download network speeds compared to onsite internet.
Independent cellular LTE+ network communications onboard each of our security units allow for wireless data transmission that guarantees internet connectivity will never drop due to damaged cable lines. Our security units take full advantage of the cellular-based communications onboard by only requiring power to be live to monitoring within minutes.
This is one of many differentiating factors in our innovative and proactive approach to providing video security for industrial manufacturing facilities.
Video Surveillance made for Industrial Site Security.
Due to the fact that industrial manufacturing facilities experience theft and damage to machinery, equipment, vehicles, and cargo, it is imperative to equip these locations with a remote video monitoring service that offers a proactive approach to security.
In contrast to traditional video security companies that rely on monitoring systems that have been left unchanged for over a decade, we have synergized the intuitive recognition of our monitoring operators with the near limitless potential of technology and artificial intelligence analytics.
Prior to the installation of our video security units, our logistics team conducts a site survey to identify risk areas of the location. Information gathered from our site surveys allows our service teams to install the correct security peripherals for your location. Common risk areas in the industrial manufacturing industry include fence lines, gates, parking lots, material storage areas, cargo yards, and all entryways to the facility.
Once our video security units are strategically placed, our high-resolution stationary cameras offer exceptional coverage and views of fixed locations on site. When suspicious activity is observed our monitoring operators utilize PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras to follow and zoom in on individuals to capture their identifiable features, including facial features, ethnicity, and clothing worn.
All security units are equipped with a live communications speaker that are used by our operators to speak directly to individuals on or near the property, and call out their specific actions.
Voice commands warn criminals and suspicious individuals that if they do not leave the premises immediately, law enforcement will be dispatched. A high-visibility blue LED strobe light is equipped on all security units to draw attention to the presence of the unit, offering a focal deterrent in the event a potential trespasser tries to access the facility. The strobe light also provides law enforcement with an indication of precisely which area has been breached, when they arrive on site.
Investigations & Video Review
The constant operation of industrial manufacturing facilities can yield various activity levels throughout all hours of the day, including times outside of our standard monitoring hours. Instances of late deliveries, internal theft, and vehicle damage in parking lots are among many incidences that take place daily in the industry. While these incidences may occur outside of monitoring hours, our units are always securing video evidence of them when in camera view.
Our modular security units feature onboard storage that enables them to record 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, while boasting an industry-leading minimum of 21 days of internal video storage.
Our Investigations & Video Review department facilitates requests for video evidence of both criminal and non-criminal activity on site that has taken place outside of our standard monitoring hours. Our team of investigative professionals remotely pull video footage from our units deployed on the location, and will then conduct an in-depth audit of all video evidence of the activity. Highly detailed reports that contain high-resolution images and videos, and a summary of events taking place are then sent to authorized parties within your company.
Certifications that ensure Video Surveillance Protection.
All high-resolution video streams from our security units on your location are transmitted over Canada’s largest private MPLS network into our state-of-the-art Remote Video Monitoring facility.
Our standard video security units are 3rd party Inspected for Electrical Safety Compliance, and are constructed using NEMA 4X rated enclosures. These standards provide the peace of mind that our units meet all electrical and safety requirements on site, but also provide our units with protection from the elements, such as rain, sleet, snow and ice.
Our security units are resistant to dust, smoke, and debris, which are known to cause damage to internal hardware components in electronics. This provides our units with a unique advantage when monitoring locations where there is an abundance of these environmental factors.
When required by your insurance provider, we can provide UL Certified® (UL licenses 827A and 827B) remote video monitoring services to protect your property.
Our Video Security Units are manufactured to be modular.
Our engineers have meticulously designed our security units to be self-contained, modular, and house independent communications onboard, making them the perfect for industrial and manufacturing applications.
Weighing approximately 15 pounds and only requiring power, our security units can be mounted to power poles, light posts, on buildings sides, corners and rooves, and tripods with ease and are live to monitoring within minutes. Operating under 60 watts of power enables the use of optional solar kits for redundancy purposes or in the event shore power is not immediately available where the units are required.
All security units come standard equipped with high-resolution diffused infrared cameras that capture court quality evidence regardless of the time of day or night. Stationary cameras provide exceptional views of fixed locations on site, including entryways, fence lines, parking lots, and cargo yards. PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras are equipped on our units to provide monitoring operators with the ability to follow and zoom in on suspicious individuals on site.
A high-visibility blue LED strobe light is installed on every unit and functions as a visual indicator, indicating the presence of the unit on site. A live communications speaker serves as an incredible deterrence tool by allowing operators to call out the specific actions of individuals on site, and warning them that law enforcement will be notified of their presence if they do not leave the property immediately.

License plate reader cameras can be equipped to cover all entryways and exits of the facility. Our license plate readers intelligently capture the alphanumerical values of a license plate, and store them within our fully searchable plate database: syncroPlates. These cameras provide insight as to who is arriving and departing the location at all times. For extremely low to no light areas of a location, thermal cameras can be equipped to our security units to detect the presence of trespassers on site even in complete darkness. Our team is also proficient in designing and building covert units that seamlessly blend into their environment. Covert units ensure court quality evidence can be obtained for high-discretion applications, such as internal theft.
Our Wireless Intrusion Alarm System.
Manufacturing facilities require comprehensive security coverage to protect all assets within their property lines. Due to the size of the property and placement of assets indoors, and out of camera view, gaps in video coverage can occur. In order to facilitate the protection of assets where video coverage may be difficult or where additional protection is required, our team has engineered syncroDetect.

Our latest security innovation utilizes a range of wireless alarms and sensors to detect criminal activity outside of camera view. Assets stored in vulnerable locations or outside of camera view, such as warehouses, storage trailers, and indoor areas can be provided complete security with syncroDetect. Our wireless sensors can detect the intrusion attempts of criminals with door & window contact sensors and motion detectors.
Featuring a long communication range of 2 kilometers (line of sight), this system provides total security coverage for even the largest properties. syncroDetect utilizes long lasting battery technology, capable of powering its core system for up to 5 years and 8 years for all alarms and sensors. Our operators are notified of any detection made by our sensors, and will immediately contact law enforcement, and your designated contacts when required.
Much like our other security devices, our new wireless alarm system operates through our private MPLS network. The largest of its kind in Canada, our network ensures all of our devices, both video and alarm, communicate independently from public internet, and are impervious to tampering.
By integrating syncroDetect with our remote video monitoring service, and communicating through our private MPLS network, we provide total security coverage of your manufacturing facility, its assets, and your data.
This is manufacturing security made simple.
Industrial manufacturing facilities experience a plethora of traffic and personnel in and outbound on a daily and nightly basis. Due in part that these locations feature workers arriving and departing the facility at all hours of the day, clear and concise communications is required with a security company at all hours of the day.
Security companies must be able to distinguish between criminal and non-threatening activity while also sharing security specific information of incidences that on site. Prior to our arrival, security companies would report incidences on site well after they have taken place, leaving facility managers second guessing as to what is, or what has occurred on the premises.
To effectively share critical, site-specific security information, we have developed the world’s first security information reporting platform, syncroReports.
All observations made by our monitoring operators are logged in real-time into syncroReports and are able to be reviewed, immediately. Security metrics, such as the number of trespassers identified, police calls made, and crimes deterred are available to authorized personnel across all of their digital devices.
Authorized facility personnel receive activity based logs that range from the arrival and departure of staff, arrival of deliverables, and even when gates and man doors are left open. syncroReports provides authorized personnel with 24/7 access to their live camera feeds without the need for third party software downloads. syncroReports automates the sharing of security information in a way never seen before in the security industry.
How's that for transparency?
We bring peace of mind to industrial manufacturing facilities when tasked with tracking all vehicular activity on the property. Not only do employees arrive and depart the location at all hours of the day, other vehicles that arrive on site can include contractors, trades, truck fleets, deliverables and, unfortunately, criminals. We lead the industry by developing an intelligent system that is capable of reading and databasing license plates in real time; syncroPlates.
To date, license plate ‘reading’ systems deployed by other security companies rely on an operator to comb through recorded video footage in order to create a list of license plates. This method of capturing license plates does not provide real-time vehicular traffic tracking, nor does it provide an accessible database to review captured plates.
Operating in conjunction with our proprietary neural net and artificial intelligence systems, syncroPlates intelligently captures the alphanumerical values of a license plate, converts them into date, time and location metadata. This data is stored with a high-resolution photo of the detected vehicle in our plate database, which is also the largest civilian plate database in Canada!
Once syncroPlates identifies, stores, and captures a license plate, powerful security tools, such as the whitelisting and blacklisting of specific vehicles, are provided to authorized syncroReports users. Blacklisting specific vehicles from entering an industrial manufacturing facility creates an extra layer of protection from unauthorized site access that can lead to the theft of equipment, tool, or cargo.
Previously identified suspicious vehicles, or those confirmed to have been associated with criminal activity, are blacklisted across the entire Caliber network. In the event our license plate reader cameras detect a blacklisted vehicle, you are notified immediately of their arrival through customizable alerts in syncroAlerts. The syncroPlates database supports full and partial license plate searches and will immediately compile a list of vehicles that match the criteria of your search query. This powerful tool allows users to track the arrival and departure of specific vehicular traffic, ranging from employees, trades, contractors, deliverables, and truck fleets. Not just a powerful security tool, syncroPlates adds incredible value in the daily logistics of managing industrial manufacturing locations.
We are the only company able to offer this solution for manufacturing facilities.
One of the most important things to consider when choosing a security company is the timely sharing of critical security information. While other security companies may provide reports on incidences that occur on site after they happened, our proactive approach to security monitoring establishes real-time communication of all activity on site through syncroAlerts.
syncroAlerts provides real-time information of all activity that takes place on your location, at your fingertips, via email and SMS messages. Customizable activity filters allow you to select which specific activity you wish to be notified of, including trespasser on site, voice commands, workers on site, and many more. Time and date filters are also available, allowing you to receive timely security information exactly when you want it.
Alerts exactly when you requested them.
