Artificial intelligence has become a large facet of our everyday life, and it continues to evolve in a myriad of ways. How do we leverage the power of artificial intelligence to provide proactive security and serve the greater good?

The future of artificial intelligence is now.

Artificial intelligence
While it has been an emerging technology for many years, 2023 in particular has seen the rise and implementation of artificial intelligence in a multitude of different industries. AI has evolved to serve many different functions – generative AI, machine learning, automation, chatbots, AI assistants, and more. It continues to permeate many different aspects of our society, as we expand the idea of AI and how it can benefit everyone in the future. Artificial intelligence has had even more practical applications in the world of proactive security – allowing our team to accurately and effectively detect human movement on our clients’ sites.

Utilizing artificial intelligence for social good.

With artificial intelligence continuing to evolve at a rapid rate, there is a call to use AI in an ethical way that benefits real people and society at large. This is especially important within the world of proactive security – ensuring sites are protected and free from crime, with an eye towards serving the local community and the greater good. Video surveillance, powered by AI, benefits from improved accuracy and minimizing human error, establishing a more consistent and precise way to detect and deter crime. AI is also beneficial for a variety of different industries beyond security.
One key way that it has improved things for the better is through improved health and safety – ensuring safety guidelines and protocols are followed in whatever field of work it is implemented. The transportation and logistics industries have also seen the benefits – AI is very useful in managing traffic flow and monitoring shipping progress. This results in a much more effective and expeditious delivery of goods and services across the country. AI is also helpful in the world of education – enhancing the safety of students and staff, while also monitoring attendance. (1)

How does our proprietary artificial intelligence system work?

A trespasser in a parking garage is tracked by Caliber's proprietary artificial intelligence system
Our Development team has created a robust and proprietary artificial intelligence system that leverages the power of Caliber’s cutting-edge technology. Our artificial intelligence has been extensively trained to differentiate live human movement from other objects on-site – including inanimate objects, wildlife, or strong weather patterns that create movement. This allows our Live Remote Video Monitoring team to filter out unnecessary information, prioritize security incidents in progress, and escalate appropriately – based on the severity of the situation or immediacy of need.
This increased focus enhances our team’s ability to track individuals as they move throughout a property, and deter them much faster than ever before. Leveraging the host of data it has collected, and its constant evolution through daily learning practices, our AI system is able to make quick detections to assist our Live Remote Video Monitoring operators with deterring crime. AI increases the operational efficiency and effectiveness of all of our security solutions – and thanks in part to the advancement of our AI, our detection & deterrence rate has risen from 98% to an astonishing 99.2%!

Artificial intelligence has changed the face of proactive security – through AI we provide even more robust and powerful crime deterrence to our clients while also serving the community and public good.
