An age-old problem with security: how do you cover every aspect of a property simultaneously, within a reasonable budget? Our innovative solution to this issue lies in the development and integration of our syncroDetect wireless alarm unit. SyncroDetect integrates our existing state of the art remote video monitoring system, with new intrusion detection alarm technology. Before you can fully understand the functionality and capabilities of syncroDetect, it is important to recognize the tools engineered within syncroDetect to achieve total security coverage.

What is a wireless motion detection sensor?

Wireless motion detection sensors are another security peripheral that our syncroDetect unit utilizes to provide internal security to locations where camera coverage may be difficult. Motion detectors have the ability to detect movement around them and then relay that information to a security unit.
There are two popular methods that these sensors use to detect movement: ultrasonic, and Passive Infrared. Similar to a Doppler radar, ultrasonic transducers use the reflection between ultrasonic waves and objects/people to detect movement. Passive infrared sensors detect the change in temperature when a person enters the room. Infrared sensors compare the difference between your skin temperature and the room temperature in the background. Once a change is detected, the motion detector alerts the security unit.

Advantages of the syncroDetect Wireless Motion Detection Sensor:

We strive to be leaders in the security industry and we do this by utilizing industry changing technology. Our motion detection sensors are no exception to this. Using both a Fresnel and cylindrical lens, our sensors can sense any notable change in infrared energy (such as a person entering its coverage field) and immediately send a signal alerting our syncroDetect unit of this change.

Our motion sensors use an integrated algorithm that effectively allows the sensor to detect the differences between an intruder or other common disturbances such as falling dust, debris, and even animals weighing under 85lbs. This technology is a highly effective way of mitigating false alarms, which commonly occur when using other inferior motion detection sensors on the market.
Another differentiator is the sensors impressive battery life. Our motion detection sensors can operate up to 8 years (under normal operating conditions) before requiring a battery change. This offers the user the peace of mind found when being covered by a long-term, and thorough security solution, while avoiding routine battery changes and service calls.
Similar to the Door & Window contact sensors we deploy, the wireless motion detection sensor can be positioned up to 2km away from the SyncroDetect unit, allowing our technicians to fully secure any indoor location necessary. Once installed, the sensor will be able to detect any movement in its line of site, up to 12m (39ft) away. These wireless motion detectors can be deployed inside a wide array of locations such as sea-cans, tool sheds, site trailers, and buildings, providing an additional layer of security to protect your property & assets.

How does the wireless sensor work with syncroDetect?

Now that you know how motion detection sensors work and what the advantages of our wireless sensors are, you are probably wondering how this all comes together with our syncroDetect security unit?
The answer is: seamlessly. After the sensor is installed, and a disturbance is detected, it will instantaneously send a signal to our syncroDetect unit. The syncroDetect unit immediately alerts our UL Certified monitoring center via our proprietary cellular platform, and within our private MPLS communication network. Within the monitoring station, our operators immediately respond to the active security breach, utilizing the following responses: positioning our video security units to observe the location, issuing voice commands within the area, and alerting the local authorities of the intrusion.
When the security breach has been successfully resolved, our operators compile a detailed log report which is uploaded to our syncroReports information portal for our client to access.

In Conclusion:

The complete integration of the wireless motion detection sensor within syncroDetect is another robust application that our team of professionals utilize to ensure total security coverage of any site, property, or project.
