When it comes to our live remote monitoring, providing security only within highly populated urban areas is a common misconception. Our innovative solutions are engineered for quick deployment, and effectiveness in even the most remote locations.
The Challenges of Traditional Security Deployment in Remote Locations:
While effective security measures are critical for protecting your property & assets in remote locations, it will always come with its own set of challenges. To begin, more often than not, remote locations have limited access to the infrastructure required to run most traditional security offerings.
Access to power is almost always needed to power security systems such as cameras, and alarm devices. Traditional security services also rely on access to hardwired internet for communication between units and third party sources. Projects in their early stages, on the outskirts of town, or even more remote locations often will not have immediate access to these fundamental services, leaving traditional security systems with no option for deployment.
Furthermore, these remote locations are often located in the northern regions of Canada, which are infamous for their harsh weather conditions. Traditional security units will often have a difficult time operating in these freezing conditions, where snow and ice can quickly accumulated on the unit, causing electrical components to malfunction.
Additionally, harsh weather can cause power grids to fail, causing all security systems within it to fail, due to the each unit being dependent on each other for communication. The same unit dependency is a point of failure when internet connections are lost or unstable, as well as with hardware failure.
Our Innovative Remote Surveillance Approach:
When designing our industry leading security solutions, we set out to ensure that our units would be deployable in virtually any location, under any circumstance. The first question that our engineers asked themselves when designing our units was “How do we operate in locations that do not have access to hardwired internet?”.
