As a security provider, we aim to do more than just prevent crime – we are also dedicated to supporting victims of crime. Our Deterrence December campaign is an annual effort to support and raise funds for the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime; in turn benefitting crime victims and their families across the country.

Who are the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime?

The Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime (CRCVC) are a support-based organization that provides services and resources to individuals and the families who have fallen victim to crimes in Canada. These services are free-of-charge and confidential.
Some of the key services provided by the CRCVC include:
  • Court preparation and accompaniment throughout the judicial system
  • Information sharing with victims of federally sentenced offenders
  • Victim advocacy with all levels of government (municipal, provincial and federal)
  • Referrals and support programs
  • Emotional support
“Hope is probably even more powerful than laughter: rest assured you have given me the biggest dose of hope I’ve had in a very, very long time. It’s really easy to keep the mentality of being a victim, and convince yourself that it’s a burden you must bear yourself forever. Then boom! All of a sudden, you find lovely people willing to help, and climbing out of that lonely place feels doable. It’s such a nice feeling.” – Long Term Client of the CRCVC
