December was a month our team pledged to provide more than just security; by creating a program that would support the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime, benefitting victims and their families across Canada.
Who are the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime?
The Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime (CRCVC) are a support-based organization that provides services and resources to individuals and the families who have fallen victim to crimes in Canada. These services are free-of-charge and confidential and includes victim support, which ensures that the victims of crime rights are being addressed and upheld, and Corrections and Parole assistance. This service assists and supports victims by helping them with registration, representations, and accompaniment to parole hearings of those responsible for crimes committed against them.
In addition to these various services, the CRCVC are also developing an array of ancillary support projects that include protection for seniors, helping crime victims abroad, and safer/stronger grants for victims of violence. How Have We Supported Victims of Crime in Canada?
For the month of December, we developed a partnership with the CRCVC to help support victims of crime in Canada with our Deterrence December campaign:
Deterrence December was our commitment to donate $1.25 to the CRCVC for every crime deterrence action that was performed by our video monitoring operators throughout the month of December. The financial donation to the CRCVC will be utilized to fund the important services that this non-profit organization offers to victims of crimes in Canada.
