It is no secret that the entirety of the year was shaped by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic that resulted in changes to both business and personal life. In order to slow the transmission of the virus, regional lockdowns were imposed across countries all over the world, alongside temporary business and service closures. These temporary business and service closures created a need for companies to secure their properties effectively and immediately.
We answered the call to provide those who needed remote video monitoring service in a time where the last thing they needed on their mind was their property security. The rapid installation and activation of our security units, bolstered by our proprietary cellular LTE+ based communications platform, allowed our monitoring operators to acquire court quality evidence in every critical moment of 2020. With that said, we have reached several milestones pertaining to remote video monitoring.
2020 saw an increased frequency of criminal activity on our clients’ locations consistently throughout the year. Our monitoring operators utilized the high-resolution cameras on our security units to detect the presence of suspicious and criminal activity occurring on site.
By using the built in two-way communications speaker on board, we deterred 8,406 crimes from taking place – an increase of 30% over our 2019 deterrence count.
All activity observed on site over the course of the year was carefully audited and logged into syncroReports in the form of log reports. These highly detailed reports kept our clients in the loop with site-specific security information of both criminal and non-criminal activity on site. These activities included the detection of suspicious individuals, gates being left open, issued voice commands, and even unauthorized dumping on site.
Last year, 597,096 unique log reports were created by our monitoring operators and were immediately available for our clients to review within their syncroReports accounts.
Timely updates of select activities were available in real-time through email and SMS messages in syncroAlerts, that ensured our clients had the peace of mind knowing their site was actively being monitored.
Among the plethora of technologies and services we developed at Caliber, our license plate reader cameras and syncroPlates were among some of the busiest over the last year.
Engineered to equip our clients with the ability to track and search for any vehicular activity on site, the combination of our license plate reader cameras and syncroPlates captured a total of 8,604,121 license plates in 2020.
Our clients saw incredible value in syncroPlates and utilized it to search for and identify specific vehicles that arrived and departed their locations, such as workers, trades and contractors, deliverables, and suspicious vehicles.
