Our team has pledged to provide more than just security this month; by creating a program that would support the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime (CRCVC), benefitting victims and their families across Canada. As we have hit the midway point of the month, we wanted to provide an update on our campaign:

What is Deterrence December? How are we supporting victims of crime?

For the month of December, we developed a partnership with the CRCVC to help support victims of crime in Canada with our Deterrence December campaign:
Deterrence December is our commitment to donate $1.25 to the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime (CRCVC) for every crime deterrence action that has been performed by our remote video monitoring operators throughout the month. This financial donation to the CRCVC will be utilized to fund the important services that this charitable organization offers to victims of crimes in Canada.

Who are the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime?

Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime
The CRCVC provides support and guidance to individual victims and their families to assist them in obtaining needed services and resources, and advances victims’ rights by representing their interests and perspectives to Government, at all levels. This charitable organization strives to foster heightened public awareness of victims’ issues, conduct research in the field of victimology, and promote exchanges between professionals at the local, provincial, and national level. They provide these much needed services free of charge, confidentially, and bilingually.
In addition to the aforementioned services, the CRCVC are also developing an array of ancillary support projects that include helping crime victims abroad, protection for seniors, and safer/stronger grants for victims of violence. This Holiday Season, we wanted to put forward our best efforts to stop crime, all while supporting the individuals & families who have fallen victim to it across Canada.
