We are excited to introduce you to our new Client Care team member, Brad Halagian!

Caliber Communications employee Brad Halagian
Can you tell us a little more about your work experience prior to joining the Caliber team?
The majority of my experience prior to Caliber had been in retail & food service. My responsibilities were varied at each of my previous positions but in retail I’ve been responsible for inventory and assisting customers. I am well versed in a customer service after working in restaurants, everything from taking orders in the front of house, to preparing food in the back of house.
We are thrilled to welcome you as part of the team. Could you explain why you sought out the opportunity to join our team? What “sold” you on the position/what makes you the right fit?
I’ve been working at Caliber for about 4 ½ years now, originally as a Video Monitoring Operator, before moving into my Client Care position. I feel my skillset has been fully utilized in this position, and my police foundations background has given me interest and insight into the Investigations Department, due to its similarity. My knowledge of the monitoring department that I gained during my time as an operator has also aided me when working with Investigations.
Given your wealth of experience as a Monitoring Operator, how would you consider your aforementioned experience and skills as a benefit to our existing and future security clientele?
My previous involvement with the Monitoring Department has developed a keen eye for detail, which I use to my advantage when conducting reviews. Additionally, as a Monitoring Operator I became familiar with Caliber’s various sites and clientele, which I used to build stronger relationships within our client base. On top of my prior experience within the company, my education has taught me the skill of report writing that was not only essential as an operator, but also for my current position as a Client Care Specialist.
Did you have any previous experience with or have any knowledge of Caliber’s video security monitoring services? What are your initials thoughts and impressions of how we are shaking up the industry?
I worked as a Video Monitoring Operator for 4 years before starting my new position, and I always thought that the services Caliber offers were amazing and innovative. The syncroReports log report system that we offer to our clients to inform them on their site security (in real time), is truly cutting edge and unmatched in our marketspace. I also have a deep appreciation for the constant innovation that our Development Team puts into our AI systems, as it makes our Monitoring Department more effective & efficient when responding to threats. This is a major step up from what is the current standard in the remote video monitoring industry!
It is a not so well kept secret that we are continuously pushing to develop new technological advancements, both via hardware, software and AI to set new standards for the security monitoring industry – what has gotten you excited, and how do you think this presents value to our clients?
I am excited in general to see the technological advancements that Caliber pushes, but I think that the most exciting thing for me will be the improvements in AI detection, as it has a drastic impact on security monitoring as a whole. I feel that this offering in itself will add value to our monitoring service as it is something that is unique to Caliber. I also think that syncroReports is very exciting, due to the ability to provide a wide variety of data that the client can easily access and understand. This is something that is also completely unique to Caliber when compared to the rest of the industry.
syncroReports – What are your thoughts on it?
syncroReports is a very effective way for clientele to view all the data that they need at a glance and I believe it to be a very effective portal for them, based on my interactions with them and through constant feedback. I can appreciate how easy it is to quickly access incident & log reports, as well as analytics regarding the type of activity that is being reported on site.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself! What do you like to do for fun? A hidden talent that would surprise people?
My favourite hobby is playing video games, and this is what first led to my deep interest in technology. I used to spend time as a kid taking apart computers and video game consoles and putting them back together just for fun and this interest only grew as I became more interested in PC gaming. I have been gaming on my PC for about 5 or 6 years now and am usually the person my friends and family call for technology questions. I also have an interest in being physically active and am in my home gym at least 5 days a week!
