Why is our AI system beneficial for Construction Site Security?
A known, and major issue with out-of-the-box camera & system analytics is the issuance of false alarms to a monitoring facility. These false alarms could be caused by something as simple as a tree branch or a loose tarp blowing in the wind.
The more time that is spent on false alarm in a monitoring facility, means there is less time for operators to focus on actual security threats.
We knew this had to change, so our team of expert software developers made it their mission to develop an AI system that would mitigate these false alarms, and add a high level of confidence that any alarms triggered are of events that require attention. Our team developed our own neural network and forged forward with the creation of our own custom analytics system.
Traditional analytics are designed to detect when there is any pixel change within the analytic frame, which would cause a surge of false alarms when trees or materials are blowing around on site. Instead of issuing an alert for any pixel change in the frame, our in-house analytics are designed specifically to detect when an object enters the frame, which in turn greatly reduces the amount of false alarms for our video monitoring operators.
How does AI help with Video Monitoring for Security?
Another benefit of our custom analytics and AI is that it provides a great deal of context to our video monitoring operators. Our AI has been taught through machine learning to identify over 4000 objects in real time!
This means that our operators are not only informed when there is an incident, they are also provided context to the situation: How many suspects? What are they carrying? Are they in a vehicle?
This helps our monitoring operators understand the threat, and react quicker and more intelligently than ever before.
